Project Office/EU office
Between the northern and southern borders of Sweden, where the sea great the wilderness, you'll find Söderhamn, a municipality located two hours north of Stockholm, and just four hours northeast of Brussels.
Söderhamn is a coastal municipality on the east coast of Sweden with roughly 27 000 inhabitants, a lively and vibrant place where anything is possible, and the impossible just takes a little longer. In this setting you will also find the Söderhamn´s Project Office. For those of us who live in Söderhamn, project based work and cooperation across borders are a natural part of our efforts to promote ongoing development, a higher quality of life and further growth in Söderhamn and the surrounding region.
The Söderhamn´s Project Office is located in our science and incubator park, Faxepark, and provides assistance on a job-by-job basis by improving, streamlining and supporting various projects in the municipalityofSöderhamn. Within the Project office our personnel have a vast amount of project experience and speak a total of six languages. By harnessing knowledge and experience, we are abele to ensure successful procurement of more advanced projects and development work.
We currently offer/are responsible for the following services
Project support
The Project Office ensure municipal projects support and assistance as needed
Project database
The Project Office is responsible for the municipality´s project database, which serves as an important resource for future project work
Project financing
The project Office helps to find alternative sources of financing above and beyond municipal financing. Such sources can include EU funds, programs various foundations and more.
Preliminary study and analysis resource.
The Project office can be tasked with various types of analyses and preliminary studies to determine whether a project is, for instance, worth embarking on.
Competence development
Working in cooperation with our learning centre, The Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL) we offer project management training at all levels including higher education
EU coordination
The Project Office is responsible for EU coordination within the municipality and is happy to provide information about and contacts in EU institutions and member states as well as within the Municipality for those organizations wishing cooperation with Söderhamn.
Söderhamn municipality currently has cooperative partners in most EU member states
